Growing up in a small town in Wales made getting hold of underground music tough. But sunny days meant a strong signal from Bristol's Galaxy 101FM... and a drum&bass education from Roni Size and Krust's pioneering Full Cycle show. There was also the Way Out West show from house favourites, Nick Warren & Jody, and a hip hop show called The 3pm Experience with DJ Lynx... this rich musical mix presented by the lovely (voiced) Miranda Rae. Look out for forthcoming J.Bo Tapes from Galaxy 101 - The Hotter Mix...
Time, time, time, for the one like the DJ Rap... Rap touchdown.
J.Bo Tape #2 and more One In The Jungle. This time it is the second show featuring Rap and Moose busting loose. Promoting her first full length, Intelligence, on her own Proper Talent imprint, the rude girl comes correct on this mix for real. There are forums out there with huge archives of the One In The Jungle shows from over the years, but they have all been missing the historical first three. J.Bo Tapes has now brought you the first two... and no prizes for guessing what comes next.
Riddle me this, riddle me that,This one is the living, and the boom shack-attack,Nine o'clock, we're rocking the show, So listen massive... it's the sounds of Jungle!9pm on a Thursday night in the summer of 1995 and the world changed - BBC Radio 1 broadcast the first nationwide drum & bass show, One In The Jungle. And they started big with a heavy mix'n'blend from the one like the Goldie alongside the GQ - check the tracklist in the comments or MP3 tags to see how essential this mix is... Goldie was about to unleash his instant classic debut album, Timeless onto the world through FFRR/London Records and in celebration launched this classic mix on us.
Searching, literally for years, for an MP3 of this show, it eventually dawned on J.Bo Tapes that nobody out there had tapped the first show, safely stored it for over 14 years and then ripped and uploaded it. Knowing that the first three historic episodes of One In The Jungle were sat in the attic while forums around the world (well, mainly in the UK) constantly begged if anybody out there had them was the motivation behind setting up this site. So hold tight for the next few weeks as this gap in your collection will be filled and these important moments in music history will be relived here, exclusively at J.Bo Tapes!

It started with a clear out of accumulated junk. It quickly turned into a reminisce rave listening to some of hundreds of old tapes amongst this junk. A quick google later revealed that forums around the world had been searching for these mixes for years. The decision was made that it was time to stop taking from the internets and to give back... and so, today, J.Bo Tapes is born!
Stay tuned for massive MP3 rips of the hottest mixes ever committed to TDK SA90...
